Purpose. Leaving the cannabis industry out of the crisis can be achieved by developing the latest straw processing technologies and hemp trusts, which will allow the production of fibers with new technological properties that will meet the requirements of technologies for their further use in the textile, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper and other industries. Determination of the dependence of the strength of hemp fibers on the input characteristics of the stems of the trust-workability. Methodology. For studies of the workability of the stalks of the trust, the standard technique for the specifications of "Hemp Trust" DSTU 8422:2015 was used, and the strength of hemp fibers was determined according to GOST 10379-76 "Hemp Тattered. Specifications ”. Findings. The dependence of the strength of hemp fiber on the workability of the stems of the trust, obtained by different methods of preparation: after spring harvesting of stems, after autumn harvesting of straw stalks and their steaming, after biological spreading of stems on the field and cold watering of stems. Based on the obtained dependence of the strength of the hemp fibers obtained from different types of trusts, it is established that for the production of hemp fibers with high strength value it is necessary to use the second type trust, and for the production of cellulose and natural fillers it is necessary to process the first type trust. For textiles it is necessary to use fiber obtained from trusts of the third and fourth type. Originality. For the first time, the dependence of the strength of hemp fiber on the workability of the stems of the trust, which is mechanically processed on a grinding and milling equipment. The practical value. As the strength of hemp fibers depends on the workability of the stems of the trust, the certain dependence of the strength on the workability of the trust allows the processors of hemp trust to predict the consumption properties of hemp fibers and to determine their further practical use for the manufacture of a variety of goods on the basis of quality
