Purpose. The purpose of the article is to review the current state of the market, to analyse and forecast the development of the trade equipment market, which will allow the management of industrial enterprises to make an objective assessment of the market environment and promptly respond to changes in the market situation. Methodology. In the course of the research analytical and statistical methods of data processing were used, data of the State Statistics Committee, materials of articles and Internet conferences on the research topic were used. The article is based on methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization. Results. It is established that the market of trade equipment in Ukraine has a tendency to increase sales, but also to tougher competition. The main factors of competitiveness of enterprises that manufacture trade equipment in Ukraine are the technical condition of production equipment, its manufacturability, product price, availability of regular suppliers of raw materials, degree of integration of the enterprise and so on. The analysis of the state of domestic market and major manufacturers of trade equipment, as well as the assessment of the quality of trade equipment, produced by one of the leading manufacturers in Ukraine, was carried on. The estimated value of the capacity of the commercial equipment market ranges from 800 million to 1 billion US dollars. According to the analytical data for 2020, about 120 companies produce commercial equipment for various purposes, 90% of which are domestic manufacturers. Until 2015, domestic manufacturers accounted for only 60% of the trade equipment market. The competition in the market of commercial equipment is determined by the fact that the products of different manufacturers are quite homogeneous. Therefore, one of the most important factors in the competitiveness of manufacturers is the price and speed of order fulfillment. The difference in the price of trade equipment is due to the difference in the price of raw materials, the degree of equipment manufacturability and other factors. The average unit price is UAH 2,000. The difference in prices ranges from 300 to 500 UAH. The largest manufacturer of trade equipment in Ukraine is the company «Modern-Expo», which has 18 branches and occupies 35% of the market, «Torpal» – 20% of the market, «Allure Plus» – 15% of the market. Practical importance. The analysis of major Ukrainian manufacturers of trade equipment and the quality assessment of trade equipment, produced by them, allows to use the results of this research in the practice of enterprises
