The purpose. Analysis of methods of selling antiques and the antiques market in general, and the numismatics market in particular, the characteristics of remote online auctions, identifying shortcomings in the sale of antiques in the legal framework. Method. The general approach to determining the content and structure of the work is based on the method of systems analysis. Methods of analysis and synthesis, abstraction and grouping were used to summarize some results. Results. Analyzing the peculiarities of the antiques market, it was found that in Ukraine there is a demand for antiques and their sale. Today, collectors are not only museums, archives, funds and libraries, but also private collectors. On the territory of our state, antiques are available to any part of the population. It is widely available on the Internet. There are several types of online auctions, each type has its own rules and nuances. Due to the lack of sufficient qualified personnel at customs, the problem of smuggling cultural property remains acute. There are also shortcomings in Ukrainian legislation regarding the sale and identification of antiques. Practical significance. A study of the state of the market of antiques and works of art in recent years. It was found that the main sales operations in the modern world take place on the Internet, which is very convenient. The state of the legislation is analyzed and the shortcomings of the legislation on the sale of antiques are revealed.
