Target. Development of an algorithm for the commodity assessment of the quality of bituminous roofing materials in order to identify them and determine the cost of the correct application of tariff methods for regulating their imports. Methodology. For the commodity assessment of the quality of bituminous roofing materials, organoleptic, instrumental and expert methods were used. Results. The procedure for the implementation of the commodity assessment of bituminous roofing materials included such stages as familiarization with the accompanying documents containing information about the product, in particular, the definition of the manufacturer, country of production, regulatory document according to which the roofing material was produced; inspection of the marking and packaging of bituminous roofing materials in accordance with DSTU B V.2.7-101-2000 (GOST 30547-97), DSTU EN 544: 2019, establishing their compliance with regulatory documents, accompanying documents, contract terms, an actual sample of roofing material; determination of the conformity of the conditions of transportation and storage of commercial products in accordance with the requirements; assessment of appearance according to GOST 2678-94; determination of linear dimensions and area; research of physical and physicochemical indicators to determine whether the quality meets the requirements of GOST 10923-93; evaluation of the results of confirmation of the conformity of materials; generalization of the results obtained with the preparation of conclusions. Samples of rolled roofing materials based on bitumen imported to Ukraine by five manufacturing enterprises were selected as objects of commodity quality assessment: INDEX (Italy), Ruberoid Building Products (Great Britain), ICOPAL (Poland), Katepal (Finland), Firestone Building Products Co (USA) ) and samples of shingles based on Biltmore AR and Biltmore HQ bitumen (Belgium). According to the tasks set, the following indicators were studied: organoleptic (appearance) and mechanical (linear dimensions - length, width, thickness - area and weight), main performance indicators (flexibility, heat resistance, water resistance and water absorption). All investigated quality indicators of samples of bitumen roll roofing materials comply with the established standards. Scientific novelty. An algorithm has been developed and a commodity assessment of the quality of bituminous roofing materials has been carried out. The practical significance of the research results lies in the development of an algorithm for the commodity assessment of the quality of bituminous roofing materials, which can be modified depending on the purpose of the assessment and the actual raw materials provided, and used in the work of trade enterprises and customs authorities.
