Purpose. It consists in the development and implementation of a scientific concept, methods for assessing the quality, consumer value, reliability and durability of textile footwear made of technical hemp fibers. Methodology. Theoretical and experimental studies were carried out in the work, which were solved using modern methods and techniques, analysis, measurements in which the current regulatory documentation was used. Findings. A scientific classification of the operational properties of footwear as an element of communication of the main components of the finished product has been developed. A taxonomic series of levels of taxonomy of the main properties of the component materials of textile footwear has been formed, which have a direct impact on the operational properties that satisfy the material needs of a person. To carry out a comprehensive assessment of the quality of new textile shoes with an upper fabric based on technical hemp fibers by the qualimetric method, the most important structural-mechanical, hygienic and operational reliability indicators were used, namely: shoe top fabric density, shoe top fabric linear density, shoe top fabric shedding, shoe hygroscopicity, shoe moisture transfer, compliance with dimensional and fullness criteria during operation, abrasion resistance of shoe outer parts.A comprehensive assessment of the quality of a new model of textile footwear with an upper fabric based on technical hemp fibers was carried out in terms of operational reliability, structural-mechanical and hygroscopic properties, with the construction of a structure of quality indicators. Originality. For the first time, with the help of a comprehensive assessment of the quality of consumer properties of all components of textile footwear, the use of fabrics with technical hemp fibers in everyday footwear has been scientifically substantiated. The practical value. As a result of the research, a fabric for the uppers of shoes was obtained using technical hemp fibers, methods and methods for the formation of qualitative properties of all components of the fabric for the uppers of shoes were determined, which provide the production of fibers of technical hemp and yarn based on it with the necessary, improved consumer properties, suitable for the creation of footwear products.
