The aim of article is to research the state and trends of organic food products’ production and consumption in the world and in Ukraine, to analyze the prospects for the orientation of domestic agribusiness in this area on international markets. Methodology. Statistical data and information, received from databases of Euromonitor International, State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movement (IFOAM), Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine and other sources, were used as a methodological basis. General scientific and special methods including information retrieval, its analysis and synthesis, comparison, isolation, generalization, resulting systematization of material were used. Results. Global level of organic products consumption shows that during 2019-2021 the share of these goods was about 1% of total food volume, in particular especially active its growing was in the EU and the US. It is associated with focusing on healthy nutrition, promoting ecological balance, biodiversity saving. Organic agricultural business is currently conducted in 187 countries, more than 72,3 million hectares and 3,1 million of farmers are involved in growing these products. Ukraine is characterized by a significant growing of organic products. The potential of its production and circulation, which employs about 600 market operators, of which more than 400 are agricultural producers, is rather high. The volume of used areas is more than 460 thousand hectares and is almost 1,16% of the world potential. According to the results of 2021, the volume of the Ukrainian organic products consumer market amounted to about 40,1 million USA dollars. The share of domestic products in it amounted about 68%. The main organic products produced in the country are milk, butter, meat, fruits and vegetables, meat, dairy, cereals, grains, flour, bakery, pasta, honey, oil, sugar, tea, coffee and articles made therefrom Most large manufacturers focus on exporting their products to global, including European, markets.
Practical significance. The research results can be used by consumer organizations, domestic private enterprises working in the field of organic products, government agencies that determine policy and ensure the functioning of this field of industry.
