The purpose. Textile education in Ukraine, as in foreign countries, is based on the use of textile and knitted fabrics and products derived from natural and chemical fibers and threads of different chemical structure, synthetic and natural dyes, various dressings, with traditional for light industry mechanical and chemical technologies. It should be noted that in recent decades, various types of textile nano-raw materials (threads, fibers, dyes and sizing agents) have been widely used for the production of textile and knitted products. This made it possible to create a new industry - nanotextiles, and on its basis and a new industry of textile nanoteducation. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to substantiate the choice of promising areas of textile nanoeducation in Ukraine. Methodology. In conducting research, the authors used the methods provided by current state standards. We reviewed a number of sources of commodity and educational literature, monitored and systematized the data obtained. Results. The possibility and expediency of training specialists in textile nanotechnology in universities of light industry of Ukraine, and specialists in trade in nanotextiles and clothing - in the relevant trade and economic institutions of higher education in Ukraine. There is an urgent need to develop and approve new educational standards for textile nanotechnology, as well as trade in textile, clothing and knitwear. For students majoring in "Textile Nanotechnology" it is advisable to standardize the optimal number of key professional competencies. Standardization of competencies for technologists of garment and knitwear production of nanotextiles should also be considered justified. In our opinion, there is a need for significant convergence in the development of textile nanoscience, nanotechnology and nanoscience. This applies primarily to the staffing of these industries, as well as their state support. Scientific novelty. The essence of the concepts of competence approach and contextual method of teaching in the field of textile nanoeducation is revealed. The expediency of their wide application is substantiated. Practical significance. The need to publish new textbooks for students of technological universities of light industry of Ukraine and trade and economic universities of nanotechnologies of textile, garment and knitwear production, as well as nanomaterials and nanotechnology of these groups of nanoproducts.
